My husband was saying it is ...That is a good idea. My husband was saying it is pretty hard to screw that metal band on, but he hadn't pre-drilled a hole. He just thought he could easily screw through those slats. So, if we pre-drilled a hole...and did not include the jelly jar we could still ship it flat. The only problem is the tile weighs so much it raises the shipping price. I can only assume by adding the glass jar it will make them even heavier.

If I don't attach the tile before they are shipped, it is super expensive to buy the epoxy for just one tile and I don't want to leave that to my customers. I can put together 12 stands using one $4-6 bottle rather than the customer having that additional cost for one. If that were the case, it would be cheaper to just pay more for shipping.

The whole thing is frustrating. Now that we are adding the jar, I should probably check out ups again and see if they are now cheaper. They are sometimes better for heavier things.

Sorry for the long response :0} Thank you so much for the comment though!!!

Vanessa
The Sew*er, The Caker, The CopyCat Maker
kraftenkrazy3https://www.blogger.com/profile/13387095867225402968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-701812027455701320.post-24866006521449379382013-11-25T05:51:58.589-08:002013-11-25T05:51:58.589-08:00What if you sold it as a partial assembly required...What if you sold it as a partial assembly required. The part that holds the glue gun can then be assembled with the jar holder turned either to the left or right. Then it can be shipped flat with the accompanying screws for the pre-drilled holes.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00107943111325515280noreply@blogger.com
