Tons of crafters have been by my blog to get the low-down on the Nativity Ornament. If you are one of those people, you will be thrilled to hear this. Lori Whitlock, designer of the nativity cutout, contacted me last night to let me know she made a FREE downloadable file for the clear ornament insert. This file includes a JPG for printing as well as SVG and DXF files for you Silhouette, Cricut Expression, and any other cutting machine that will use these files. You can find it in this post on her blog LoriWhitlock.com. The clear insert is fabulous and works great with not only the nativity, but for photo ornaments, with just the date printed on it, or go crazy and cut out scrapbook paper instead of overhead film. It could give that "vintage wallpaper" feel to any ornament :0) Thanks so much Lori!
Oh, and just so you know, Lori is having a blog party on her site this week and will be highlighting Christmas gift ideas all week long. Feel free to drop by and peek around or participate if you have Christmas ideas to share!!!
Thank you for sharing this. How did you get the bow on the top? I am planning on using this for next year's since I have already started on this year's. I looovvve it!
ReplyDeleteUmm...You aren't' supposed to ask that :0) I just tied a bow and hot glued it where I wanted it. I know, CHEATER, right? So glad you like the ornament!

Thank you very much. I have made ornaments for several years now, but couldn't figure out how everyone else got their bows to stay. LOL I knew it was something that I should have thought about, but the light bulb just didn't come on. Thank you, thank you!
