This set of Wooden Play Food is the big project I have been working on every sleepy moment I have had. I have wanted to make these for FOREVER. Granted, you can buy play food in the store, but how much more fun is it knowing you made it yourself. There is something charming about it.
This is Super Saturday idea #3.
I took name brand packages and re-produced each and every label myself. I learned a ton about my digital editing program, StoryBook Creator by Creative Memories-LOVE IT!!! The project really was so fun to work on and worth every minute. I did my typical thing of sending these over to Office Max via Email and had them print them out in color on cardstock.
Now all I have to do is get my blocks painted and modge podge the labels on.
Here are my directions to you if you want to use these labels-and you are totally welcome to :0)
Download the label files HERE with Dropbox.
Once they are printed, just trim them to the colored part and they should be sized ready to use.
I will be back to show you the finished product and to give you the exact sizes of wooden blocks you will need. I used a mixture of 1x4's, 2x3's, 2x4's, and 2x6's, but they are all just straight cuts so a plate of cookies to the guy at Home Depot will probably make things happen for ya :0)
See you tomorrow!
OMG!! I love this what a great idea. Thanks for sharing. I am new to blogging and would love for you check my site out and follow if you would like.ReplyDelete

These are wonderful! I love them and am amazed that you used the Storybook Creator software to create them, it just proves to me that I really need to spend more time working with mine, I can see I am far from using it to its potential. If possible could you email me the file for the labels? Thank you! firstname.lastname@example.orgReplyDelete
Love these! Just the inspiration I need to spice up my play area! Thank you so much for sharing!!ReplyDelete
We're getting our basement finished right now, and we have little 2x4 scraps galore leftover from the framing. I am so doing this! Thanks for sharing!ReplyDelete
Score! You can have a whole grocery store ;0)Delete
So jealous of a finished basement, by the way...or of any basement :0)
Thanks for your comments,
Could you email me the labels? I couldn't get a decent size file for printing from the ones on the blog. My little one's first birthday is coming up and she loves to empty my kitchen cupboards so I can't wait to have her own stuff to empty out of her own little kitchen! Thanks. email@example.comReplyDelete
Could you send me a copy of the files as well? I'm so excited to make this to go along with a play kitchen for Christmas! Thank you!!ReplyDelete
I would love a copy of the file for the labels. Went to print them and they are just too pixelated to use as they are here... trying to get me set made for Christmas so as soon as posible would be great!ReplyDelete
It's in the mail :0)Delete
Thank you for your work! I love these! And, for those who are having a hard time printing small images, I right clicked on the images, and clicked open link in new tab (or new window). Then, from that page, it shows the full size pictures and you can save or print from that screen (right click again for the options). I just did it and it worked perfectly!ReplyDelete
Thanks for sharing!!ReplyDelete

No problem Brianna! It is in the mail ;0)Delete
