Clippies Strike Back

I spent my working hours this last week putting together these clippies when I wasn't sewing on my pile of over-due infant car seat covers.  If you are not familiar with the clippie revolution that started around here, this time last year, it is crazy.  I have 2 international customers that keep me busy enough to be full time.  I finally cut back down to one customer to try and make things more manageable.

My sweet lady wants hair clips for her elementary aged girls.  She wants all clips to have a school theme to them...and she wants lots of them!

It gets a little tricky to keep coming up with new school clips, but somehow we manage.  This order was supposed to be mainly felt clips, but I seem to always end up with a piece of wood in my hand again.

There are sticker clips as well.  The more layers the stickers have, the better.

Here are my all felt clips.  I have to say that I am a little embarrassed about my stitching, especially the letters *uggh*  I definitely need more practice.  That, or an embroidery machine :0)  I am deeply considering the purchase to make my designs more professional, without quite as much hand-work.

No school clip line-ups would be complete without the techy clips.  Ipods, cell phones, computer parts...I even threw in a kindle.  I don't know if they use Kindle's in their classrooms, but my kids do!  Crazy isn't it.  When I was in elementary school, my whole class of 30 walked down the hall to the computer room where we all stood in line to use one of the 4 school computers.  Now they are handing out Kindles and Ipads to the kids, still in their classrooms.  Crazy.  Anyway...

With any luck, I will get those blasted carseat covers finished and posted soon.  I will sure be happy to be finished with them.  Besides, Eli and I have decided we need to vamp up our Halloween decorations outside. Guess I better just buckle down and get the work done so we can play :0)
