We just got back from a rather spur-of-the-moment trip to Salt Lake City. We had the opportunity arise to run up there and visit all kinds of family. While up there I got to take a few fun shots of my sweet new little niece.
Here is cute little Sophie, only 3 weeks old.
Of course the first thing I had to do when I got in the door tonight was to try out my new photoshop skills. You see, I finished the third Photoshop Elements class offered by Erin over at Texas Chicks Blogs and Pics the night before we left town. I never really go to try out the things I learned before our tires hit the pavement. I was so anxious to get back and play with all the new pictures I may have pushed a little harder on that gas pedal than usual :0)
The classes were fabulous and totally worth the money!!! I took all three classes offered and would recommend them to anyone. I may actually take one or two of them again down the road when I am more familiar with the program.
I may have also pushed on that gas pedal a little harder for the fact that one half of our travel time was spent like this, on the side of the road :0) Bless my dear friend Mary who suggested we take the potty on the road with us! Unfortunately, Emmalee enjoyed her "potty time" a little too much and spent most of the time, while her family waited oh-so-patiently, actually playing with rocks and uttering the phrase, "I'm not done yet."
That gave me plenty of time to take in the scenery and work on my photography skills.
What!?! Still not done?!?
Guess I will take a few more photos...
Finally! Back on the road :0)
We made it back alive and the potty has been retired once again. I do believe it will take me days, not hours, to edit all those photos. I can't wait to see how they turn out though!!!
