Machine Quilting Attempt

I started this quilt like 7 years ago for a loved one that lived far away. Every year I pulled it out on every birthday and holiday, hoping that that day would be the magical moment I would be able to finish it. As the years swooped by, this darling "Minnesota Hot Dish" sat on an old ladder in the corner of my dinning room awaiting my stitching hands. Did I mention that I HATE to quilt by hand! I am a person who can take a detailed project, if it can be finished in a day or two. Hand quilting takes weeks when you try to do it on your own.

After two failed attempts at machine quilting this baby (one because children kept running across it when we were trying to spray glue the pieces together), I gave up and tried to quilt it by hand again. Again didn't do it. I HATE hand quilting. This morning I woke up and said, "Heck with it all, it's time to finish that," and away I went. Two hours later, ta-dah! This is probably the worst machine quilting job ever, but it will be loved because the person receiving it loves me :0)
